What We Believe

What We Believe

We believe that the word of God, the Bible, was written by inspired men of God, and is a heavenly treasure of truth for reproof, correction, exhortation, and for edification. The word of God has the saving of unbelievers as its end and purpose and the nurturing and growth of believers as its promise.

We believe that the God of the Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, is the only true God. We believe that there is only one true God-head, namely the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the embodiment of God in the world claiming His lost children back to Himself.

We believe that man, human beings, was created in God's image and likeness and by voluntary transgression fell from the holy estate intended for him. His only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ.

We believe that the only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross Jesus took man's sins upon Him and died in our place and through His death believers are provided with both with salvation and healing in an intimate relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Salvation comes by faith in Jesus Christ, not by works; however, our works are evidence of our faith in Him and will determine our rewards in eternity.

We believe the Scriptures teach that there is a great Gospel blessing for such a believe in Him called justification; that justification includes pardon of sin, and the promise of eternal life based on the principle of righteousness.

We believe that the Gospel message is available to and is made free to all who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord. Nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner on earth if he only believes in Jesus Christ who provides a way out of depravity and aggravated condemnation.

We believe in the regeneration of saints or believers who are born anew or who experience a new birth in Jesus Christ which makes the beginning of a walk with Christ.

We believe in the sanctification of believers. Believers experience a process of spiritual growth and development through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We believe in baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Everyone confessing Jesus Christ as Lord is eligible for this act of grace. Baptism symbolizes the believers death to sin and the new birth to life in Christ. It is a declaration to the world that a believer has died with Christ and is now raised with Him to walk in the newness of life.

We believe that the Lord Supper is an act of obedience and remembrance. It is a symbol of Jesus' spilled blood on the cross of Calvary for the remission of sin and the bread is a symbol of His broken body.

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ in the world; each believer is an integral part of God's family for the purpose of fulfilling God's will in the world and maintaining an intimate relationship and fellowship with Him.

We believe that the Scripture teaches that the end of life as we know it is coming and that at the last day, that Christ will descend from heaven and raise the dead from the grave for final retribution. Those believers that still live will be caught up to meet Him in the air. A final separation will take place and those who have faithfully believed abd endured will experience endless joy and that those wicked unbelievers will be adjudged to endless punishment.
